We’ve tried to simplify the choice for you by listing below some featured properties which are some of the more popular choices for foreign skiers in Hakuba. However we do encourage visitors to be a bit adventurous and try something new.
Penke Panke Lodge and Apartments are the best value accommodation in Hakuba. They are conveniently located next to the Sakka High speed quad at Happoone – the biggest ski resort in Hakuba. Penke Panke Lodge is in the heart of it all – walk to the lifts, bars and restaurants.
Very popular with foreign skiers is Hakuba Pension Meteor a.k.a. Lodge Meteor which is a long standing local Hakuba pension, owned by a local family for two generations. Free wifi and shuttles are available.
Just a two minute walk to Happo-one Ski Lifts, Panketo Lodge has picture postcard beauty echoing its timeless charm. The lodge boasts a traditional Japanese design mixed with a western cabin feel, plus a super modern spacious communal kitchen.
Hakuba Skala Inn attracts a number of repeat guests every year. The inn features a cosy lounge with a library, free wifi, bar and wood-burning stove. Hakuba Skala Inn has both Western rooms and Japanese rooms all with heating, LCD TV and a private bathroom with tub. A free shuttle operates on request. 
Resembling a Swiss chalet in the Japanese Alps, Land Haus Dancru Netz is steps away from the free shuttle to local ski resorts. The Landhaus offers simple rooms with air conditioning and heating. Mojo Lodge Hakuba offers a free shuttle service every morning to Happo-one Ski Area and Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal. The property also offers a free shuttle service every evening to the local super market and hot spring. A variety of restaurants and bars are available within just a short 5-minute walk from the lodge. In the morning a hearty breakfast is offered and the common areas are spacious with a lovely fire. Sunny Side Hut is a very short drive from Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort. This Hakuba pension style accommodation offers both Japanese-style and Western style room, ski lessons and free Wi-Fi. 
36 Degrees North, Lodge Hakuba is a short stroll from the dining hub of Echoland with the ski shuttle buses on the doorstep. There is an in-house bar and free shuttles available. 
Hakuba Il Bosco provides a cosy fireplace, cute rooms and relaxing private onsen with friendly owners. They offer a hearty breakfast and home made bread daily plus delicious in-house dinners, prepared by the hosts. 
Just a casual walk from the Happo-One Ski Resort lifts, Hakuba Ski-kan is super close to Hakuba bus station where all the free resort shuttles leave from. The lodge is completely non-smoking and features a hot-spring bath plus free WiFi. 
Hakuba B&B Santana is just a short walk from Hakuba Goryu Escal Plaza base station, as well as local onsen and restaurants. This popular Hakuba B&B offers a warm and welcoming communal space with a wood-burning stove, drying room for ski gear plus a healthy continental western breakfast. Dinner is available as well plus there is a small in-house bar.
Some rooms have an ensuite bathroom and toilet (look for these when booking). The shuttle stop to Happo-one is close by. Ski passes and ski lessons are available upon request.
